PERSONAL INJURY:

• Mr. Dowling has represented personal injury clients through most of his career, including vehicular collisions, products liability, trip/slip and falls, premises liability, wrongful death, boating accidents and admiralty, railroad collisions, sovereign immunity cases, worker's compensation, infliction of emotional distress, professional negligence, strict liability, breach of warranty, dog attacks, punitive damages; defamation, libel and slander.

CRIMINAL LAW:

• Criminal defense practice as private lawyer and former Chief Capital Trial Lawyer, Office of the Public Defender, Palm Beach County. Served as first-chair defense counsel in nine first degree murder jury trials. Comparable responsibility in cases ranging from traffic violations to gamut of misdemeanor and felony cases such as trafficking, counterfeiting, assault and battery, sexual assault, forcible rape, burglary, armed robbery, habeas corpus and post-conviction remedies. In 1981, Mr. Dowling received the Certificate of Criminal Trial Advocacy as a diplomate of the National Board of Trial Advocacy.

FAMILY LAW:

• Family Law practice involving dissolution of marriage, annulment, alimony, child support, custody, visitation, paternity, adoption, domestic violence, mental health juvenile delinquency and dependency, juvenile justice, equitable distribution- QDROs' valuations and current practice issues under F.S. 61 and case law.

GENERAL CIVIL and CIVIL LITIGATION:

• Mr. Dowling's general civil practice has spanned a wide range of legal issues, such as adverse possession, nuisances, adjoining land owners, administrative law, contracts,agency and employment, AAA and other arbitrations and awards, technical litigation and intellectual property licensing, auctions, bailments, mechanics liens and construction law, businesses and professions, condominiums, fraud and deceit; contribution; indemnity and subrogation; conversion and replevin; corporations; creditors remedies, complex litigation, summary proceedings, administrative law and hearings, appeals, attachment and garnishment. Uniform Commercial Code, ejectment and eviction, mental illness, guardianships, labor and employment law, landlord-tenant, probate and probate litigation; declaratory judgments; duress and undue influence; leases, easements and licenses in real property; ejectment; equity and equitable remedies; fraud and deceit; injunctions; mandamus, partition, specific enforcement, and reformation of instruments.
